I know I’m busy but am I so busy that I missed all news about this movie? Or there really isn’t that much news and buzz surrounding this movie since the director and its bevy of A-list stars is enough.
As reported earlier, SMAP‘s Katori Shingo and Ayase Haruka will be starring in Mitani Koki‘s sci-fi movie, “Galaxy Kaidou“. The said movie tells the futuristic story set in 2265 AD about a married couple, Noa (Katori) and Noe (Ayase), who runs a small eatery along the main road called “Galaxy Highway”. The said highway connects earth and a space colony near Jupiter called “Uzushio”. It has been in used for 150 years and due to its old state, rumor has it that it will abolished. Story will revolve around the visitors of the eatery, aliens who are full of human touch.

“Galaxy Kaidou” is Mitani’s first sci-fi movie and he did express his interest in making a movie set in space. Also in the movie, are: Oguri Shun, Endo Kenichi, Akimoto Sayaka, Nishida Toshiyuki, Yuka, Yamamoto Koji, etc.
The movie’s trailer is so-so to make me interested but I love the colorful stills from this movie like it’s Shibuya in the future.
