Tomoya as a pathologist? Medical field can’t get any hotter.

It was announced that TOKIO‘s Nagase Tomoya will star in the upcoming Fuji TV‘s adaptation of the manga “Fragile-Byourii Kishi Keiichirou no Shoken –“. Tomoya will play the role of Kishi Keiichirou, a genius pathologist, who confers with physicians so they can make the right diagnosis. He’s often viewed as eccentric, sometimes hated, but is greatly trusted.

A pathologist’s role in the medical field is to determine the cause of a certain illness by examining specimens like blood, tissues, etc. The manga and drama is called “Fragile” because it describes the magnitude of a pathologist’s work since a misjudgment on their part can cost the life of someone else.

Well, they surely chose someone perfect for this role. Just look at the manga and it screams Nagase all over.

Fragile” will be Nagase’s comeback drama in Fuji TV since his last work for the station was “Mukodono!” in 2003. Filming will start in mid-November and will air on Winter 2016.
