Women SPA via Johnny’s-Watcher

Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento had his first solo concert (performance) at Tokyo Dome City Hall last Aug 10th. Nakajima tries some tricks he learned from being a host in his previous drama, “Kurufuku Monogatari“, and greets the audience in a flirtatious way. Nakajima, who called himself KENTY, appeared with a sunglasses and a bouquet of roses as he threw flying kisses to the delight of his fans. 2,400 fans gets more delighted (read: scream) when he announced that he wants to hug one of them.

After the fan service, Nakajima gets to his grooves on, sang some of Sexy Zone’s hits, and played the piano. He gets pretty emotional afterward as he thank his fans for they support. Fellow Sexy Zone, Sato Shori, rushed on stage to be with Nakajima. Also spotted among the audience is NEWS‘s Masuda Takahisa.

After Nakajima, Sato Shori also had his first solo concert last Aug 14th at the same venue. Sato is accompanied by Johnny’s Jr. unit, Kinpuri, where he gets to try roller skating for the first time. Sato also sang some of Sexy Zone’s songs as well as some hits of his senpais. Unlike Nakajima, Sato chose not to cry after his performances, but Nakajima maintained his “prince-like” persona and gave 18 red roses to Sato in his dressing room.

The said concert is part of Sexy Zone’s series of solo concerts that started with Kikuchi Fuma. Matsushima Sou and Marius Yo also had theirs in EX Theater Roppongi.

I’m glad to know that the younger ones also had their solo con. I haven’t been paying attention to this group so I failed to write about the other member’s concert, or maybe, I’m just not that interested. haha. Apparently, these solo concerts are made so they can grow individually before they resume their group activities. Frankly, I’d rather see them doing group performances so they can grow as a group because that’s what they lack the most.

Anyway, I never really get the appeal of Kento, he is cute but it also look like he was trying too hard with his “prince-like” character. It’s getting annoying. haha. As for Shori, he’s looking so fine since his “Hungry!!” days.

• The synopsis for Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke‘s 24 Hr TV drama special, “Okasan, Ore wa daijoubu“, is already up on the drama’s website. I’m sure that most of you are already familiar with the generic theme of 24 Hr TV drama but this is how it goes: Sasaki Ryohei is a high school student living in Shimane. He grew up without his mother since his mother devoted herself to take care of another brother who has been living in the hospital due to an incurable disease . He was just appointed as the vice captain of a small and weak soccer team where his colleagues strives each day to qualify for the prefectural tournament. One day, Ryohei is rushed to the hospital because of severe headache, his older brother Teppei (Masuda Takahisa), was also called to home from Kyoto. At the hospital, it was found that Ryohei is suffering from acute brain tumor, a surgery was performed; however, the surgery has to be stopped since the tumor is on the crucial part of the brain. The family was told that Ryohei won’t be living for long but a miracle happened and he woke-up from unconsciousness…

• Takizawa Hideaki was featured in FRaU magazine about his Hongkong trip. The 1/2 of Tackey&Tsubasa went to Hongkong, 10 years after his first visit, to sample some of their new and traditional offerings.

• Speaking of Takki doing visits, the cast of “Takizawa Kabuki” will be in Singapore this August as part of “Takizawa Kabuki’s 10th anniversary” and the goods have already arrived. Fans who will be attending the play can now buy the goods at Johnny’s net. I’m not so sure if the goods will also be available at the venue but the price are pretty expensive. SGD 28.00 for a brochure when I can already use that to enter Gardens by the Bay. Geez, Johnny.

• SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya made a surprise appearance at Ameba FRESH studio at Harajuku in Tokyo. The cast of HERO movie are set to appear in the studio for TOKYO FM but Kimura’s appearance wasn’t announced so fans and passers-by, particularly the women, were in awe when Kimura arrived.

• Kis-My-Ft2 will be having two singles for Tamamori Yuta‘s two upcoming projects. Fresh from his “an an” sex issue, Tamamori will be appearing in autumn/fall drama, “Seishun Tantei Haruya“, and another movie project with the gorgeous Nishiuchi Mariya in “Raintree no Kuni“. Because of Tamamori’s two projects, Kisumai will be doing songs for their fellow member and I’m sure that their fans is rejoicing.

Forget about rivalry between Nakayuma Yuma in this year’s double lead “DREAM BOYS“, Kis-My-Ft2‘s Tamamori Yuta says that his rival is his very self.

As reported earlier, Kis-My-Ft2 is back as the lead of popular stage play “DREAM BOYS”. The long-running stage play will have their 500th performance this year and this is the third consecutive year that Tamamori is the stage’s chairman. Joining Tamamori is fellow Kis-My-Ft2 members, Senga Kentoand Miyata Toshiya. Also, a first in DREAM BOYS history, there will be two versions this year that will be headed by Nakayama Yuma and Sexy Zone‘s Kikuchi Fuma and Marius Yo.

Tamamori shared that he was never satisfied with this past performances, he said that even though he stood onstage with all his strength, he always think how he could have done it differently after each performance. For that reason, Tamamori always look for a room to grow, aside from stage, he also does drama and movies. Lastly, he’s also not worried about the double cast since he consider himself as his only rival.

Stage-wise, I think that Yuma has more experience since he has done more stage plays than TV. As for TV, Tamamori has done more of it. Acting-wise, I’ll go with Yuma.

Last Aug 15th, Nakayama Yuma attended the public dress rehearsal of the stage play, “The Picture of Dorian Gray“. The said play is Nakayama’s first starring role.

In the Japanese adaptation of Oscar Wilde‘s classic, Nakayama plays Dorian Gray, a man who sold his soul so his beauty would never fade. Nakayama joked that he felt like an actress for getting all made-up and added that despite the pressure, he remains confident.

In the play, Nakayama also has a shirtless scene and shares that he did strength training with dumbbells and a 2 km run. Even though Nakayama didn’t get to develop abs, he’s quite happy that he was able to developed his chest muscle. Where is that chest muscle?

Fellow Johnny’s Jr and co-star for the play, Nakada Hiroki, shared that he also did the same strength training as Nakayama, unfortunately, he didn’t get to develop any muscle.

“The Picture of Dorian Gray” will run from Aug 16th to 18th at New National Theater in Tokyo as well as additional performances on Sept 1st to 6th.

Last Aug 18th, one of Johnny’s Entertainment longest-running play, “Takizawa Kabuki“, opened at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. It was the first overseas performance for the cast headlined by Tackey & Tsubasa‘s Takizawa Hideaki, Kis-My-Ft2‘s Kitayama Hiromitsu, and A.B.C.-Z‘s Kawai Fumito.

“Takizawa Kabuki” is celebrating their 10th year anniversary and Takizawa didn’t disappoint the fans when he said that he would bring the four seasons of Japan. One of which is showering the audience with snow where the production shipped 12 units of artificial snow machine from Japan.  The cast arrived last Aug 15th and they had 2 days of intensive practice before the actual performance. Language barrier was also a challenged since half of the staff are Singaporeans so some of the things took longer than before. Nevertheless, meeting deadlines is a must in Johnny’s.

2,200 fans flocked Marina Bay’s Grand Theater as Takizawa and co. showed off a string of dynamic production, including Johnny’s infamous flying stunts, without the use of speech. In order for the Singaporean audience to understand the play, narration and lyrics were displayed in English. Towards the end of the kabuki, Takizawa appeared with 12 children (local) and danced “Rasa Sayang” with them. Rasa Sayang is a popular folk song.

“Takizawa Kabuki” will run until Aug 23rd, 7600 tickets were sold out but you can check here if there are still available (online) tickets.

Nagase looks badass and still oozing with sex appeal, like, are all demons supposed to be like that? haha. On Kamiki, that’s some hair straightener, I think that he really got himself prepared for his love confession but he ended-up being dead and he looks more like he has a college interview to attend. The visuals look amazing and I hope that the movie will be good too!

• SMAP’s Kimura Takuya “HERO” movie have reached 3 billion Yen in earnings. Aside from that, the movie also mobilized 3, 041,517 audience.

• Catch Arashi interact with V6 and Hey!Say!JUMP in “Arashi ni Shiyagare”. The said SP is a talk between “3 generations” in Johnny’s.

• SMAP’s upcoming new single, “otherside”, which also happens to be the theme song for their TV show, “SMAPxSMAP” is composed by MIYAVI.

Now this is cooler news. I don’t know if there’s already a preview but I wanna hear how this will sound. I hope it will try to deviate from the usual SMAP-jpop tunes.

• “Mr. King VS Mr. Prince” aka Kinpuri will continue their activities. The supposedly limited-time group will get to continue their idol activities. 

Congrats to the guys whose group’s name is still MEH. Now all SixTONES fans are praying that their ichibans will be the next to get their own “road to debut” exposure.

• The cast of Takizawa Kabuki held a fan meeting last Aug 21st. A fan, @mikiru, is lucky enough to be chosen where she get to take home some goodies and even get to dine a ‘high tea set meal”. 

Lucky, lucky fans! This fan meeting is like the equivalent of AKB48 handshake events, right? Only with Johnny’s, fan meetings seems to be uber exclusive and you get like 3 seconds to smile and shake your idol’s hands while the assistant gives you freebies. Okay, I’m just jealous, it’s a good thing that Johnny did this thing even outside Japan. Other than that, the cake looks delicious. It has all the components of my favorite cake: chocolate, coffee jelly, strawberry, and a bit of whip creme.

• Speaking of handshake, SMAP held a mini-Kohaku at Yamada-cho in Iwate. A handshake session followed. Yamada-cho is one of the towns that were badly affected by the 2011 earthquake.

It’s been four years since the great earthquake and it’s really sweet of Johnny’s that they continue to do small and big things to bring entertainment to those who were affected. It might be just promotion or publicity stunt, but the smiles and gratefulness from those who were affected are genuine.

Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Chinen Yuri undeniably possesses a baby-face and athletic physique (especially if he grows some more inches). However, compared to his fellow Hey!Say!JUMP members from Takaki Yuya, Yabu Kota, and Okamoto Keito, Chinen seems to lacking in scandal, I mean, love rumor.

So, New Classic made a compilation of girls who were rumored to have been involved with Chinen Yuri.

The NON-NO model is rumored to have dated Chinen but fans quick to say that it’s just a hoax. Arai is said to be big fan of Chinen and that she even confessed to Chinen. There are even rumors that there’s a purikura of the two of them kissing but there’s still no evidence. So, fans say that this dating rumor is just a hoax. Period.

The two co-starred in Chinen’s first lead drama, “Sprout“. Rumors began to circulate that they were dating especially since the two has a kissing scene in the drama. Morikawa even wrote something about the scene in her blog but some wotas got angry at her blog post so she deleted it.

• Nounen Rena

This rumor circulated during Nounen’s asadora. According to rumor, the two met via Nounen’s close acquaintance, Nishiuchi Mariya, who organized a dinner with other Johnny’s. Nounen is extremely shy and only got to talk longer to Chinen. Soon enough, the two are rumored to be dating although no pictures of them have been taken. Nishiuchi used to be classmates with Chinen before she dropped-out of Horikoshi and she’s also rumored to be Yamada Ryosuke‘s ex-girlfriend.

This rumor is so false. haha. I think that Nishiuchi would had enough of being associated with Johnny’s since, if the past rumors were true, she dropped-out of Horikoshi after receiving backlashed from Yamada’s fans when they were rumored to be dating.

In conclusion, the girls mentioned look like triplets with some similarities. haha. Also, YamaChii rules! Seriously, I don’t think Chinen is dating anyone because if he does, he won’t be drinking alone in some bar. haha.

• The end of August is like the announcements for albums and what follows an album is definitely a TOUR. Kanjani8 announces that they’ll be having a 5-Dome tour aside from a new album titled: “Kanjani8 no genki ga deru CD!!“.

• Speaking of new album, Arashi will also be releasing an album called “Japonism“. The title sounds cool and I hope that the songs will be cooler. Arashi is scheduled for a local version of their “BLAST in HAWAII”, which is “BLAST in MIYAGI“. The said 4 day concert will also double as a charity work to help the Miyagi prefecture’s economy. The prefecture are among those that were greatly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since most of the fans will be traveling far, JR East line announced that they’ll be having extra trains for Arashi’s 4-day concert. The said train will travel from Sendai-Rifu station to Tokyo station.

• In the land of former Johnny’s, the notorious Jin Akanishi announced that he will be starting his own fashion line. You can check-out his jinstagram for a sneak peek of his upcoming designs and I can now picture Kikuchi Fuma making reservations.

• Let’s move on to one of Jin’s BFF, Yamapi, who is back as Tsuneo in an all-new Doraemon‘s Toyota CM with a new character. Check-out the newest CM here.

• After you checked-out Yamapi’s lateset Toyota CM, do check-out Kis-My-Ft2‘s Tamamori Yuta‘s upcoming movie “Raintree no kuni” with the gorgeous Nishiuchi Mariya HERE. The trailer captivates the chemistry between the two, which is warm and fuzzy, but I’m still shipping Tamamori to Shiida Mirai.

• Another trailer worth checking-out is “Grasshopper” movie starring Ikuta Toma and Yamada Ryosuke. I haven’t checked the movie’s website for a long time so I’m not so sure whether the trailer is the newest. I wonder if NakaKen took lessons from Kanjani8‘s Okura Tadayoshi on being super sadistic since NakaKen’s new role is a far cry from his princely persona.

Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento will star in the live adaptation of shoujo manga, “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai“. Joining him in the movie are Komatsu Nana and Chiba Yudai.  “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” is about a plain girl named Yuu who wants to fall in love with someone like the White Prince (Chiba) but she can’t also ignore the super sadist Black Prince (Nakajima).

I used to read this manga before until it bores me. It has all the typical shoujo elements like the bad guy who isn’t really mean, the good guy turns out to be shady, and the girl is the queen of denial aside from being a masochist. Sorry for spoiling the movie, haha.

This is Nakajima’s second movie, his first movie was “Silver Spoon” and “Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai” will hit the theaters in 2016.

A.B.C.-Z mobilized 24,000 people for their 6 days continuous performance at Tokyo Dome City Hall. The 5-member group is known for their acrobatics and they kept the audience glued and not blinking with their performances. Kawai Fumito was responsible for the comprehensive production while Goseki Koichi was responsible for choreography.

A.B.C.-Z had a DVD debut last 2012, in contrast with other Johnny’s group who debuted with a CD (single). In lieu of their upcoming anniversary, the guys will be dropping their first ever single on Sept 30th with “Moonlight Walker”. Goseki boasts about a “Michael (Jackson) style” choreography complete with Michael Jackson‘s trademark jacket and hat when he did the famous “moonwalk”. Furthermore, J&A President, Johnny Kitagawa, is said to be a fan of Michael Jackson so the group will also be incorporating a Michael-atmosphere in their first single.

Totsuka Shota expressed his eagerness about their first single that he wanted it to be released already while Hashimoto Ryosuke said that they aimed for first place in Oricon charts.

A.B.C-Z’s 6 days performance is part of “Summer Paradise in TDC” celebration that started with Sexy Zone.

• In Goo ranking of male celebrities who are unlikely to get married, SMAP’s Nakai Masahiro got the top spot with 29%.

I was more surprised that only Nakai made the list (in Johnny’s) and the other men in the ranking are, well, less attractive. haha. It makes you think if this ranking is scored solely on one’s physical attributes and not their circumstances. Well, Nakai has the looks, though not superior to Kimura, but Nakai definitely has the money! Oh well, Nakai is now 43 and I doubt that he shows any interest in getting married, aside from the fact that he’s not reported to be dating anyone.

• SKE48’s Matsumura Kaori received backlash from Johnny’s Junior’s fans after she and fellow SKE48 member went to the space reserved for Johnny’s Jr. unit “Mr. King vs Mr. Prince (Kinpuri)” during Music Station broadcast. 

Pls. wotas, have some compassion for the ladies who are definitely there because they are too many in their group and not because they want to stand next Kinpuri and invite them over some goukon.

• V6’s Inohara Yoshihiko revealed that Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun has a strong alcohol tolerance when the two had a get together. Aside from having a strong liquor tolerance, Matsujun also kept ordering drinks after Inocchi have paid the bill! Since Inocchi is the senpai, he wanted to look cool so he picked-up the tab but he miscalculated Matsujun’s alcohol consumption.

• NEWS’s Tegoshi Yuya is surprise how herbivore men can be in a relationship for three months without even kissing and holding hands with their girl. Tegoshi made his comment during “Tegomass no radio” when a listener shared how her boyfriend of three months haven’t kissed or even held her hand.

Of course Tegoshi is stunned. haha. This is the guy, who has feminine looks, but is also a lady killer. I’m excited!!! Not only do I love Date but I’m also wishing that after Washio’s (Yuto) sacrifices for Yoriko (Anne), he will get a love life of his own. So who will be the lucky girl?

I don’t like Sasshi but the two of them look so cute when they banter in UTAGE! After playing a teacher with regrets in “Gomen ne Seishun“, Kanjani8‘s Nishikido Ryo is back to play another teacher role in this time slip drama, “Samurai Sensei“.

In “Samurai Sensei”, Nishikido plays the role of Takechi Hanpeita, a samurai during the later years of Tokugawa era, who time slipped 150 yrs in present-day Japan and became a cram school teacher. Takechi Hanpeita is a known noble patriot and advocate of “sonno-joi movement” (lit. revere the emperor, expel the barbarians) and in the modern times, he will be faced with different problems in the rural village where he ended-up and he will try to solve those problems that only a samurai can do.

“Samurai Sensei” will be Nishikido’s comeback drama in TV Asahi‘s late night timeslot. His last drama for the said time slot was in 2011 with “Inu o Kau to Iu Koto“. Also, this is the 2nd time that Nishikido will be playing a time-slipping samurai after “Chonmage Purin” movie back in 2010. Looking back at Ryo’s 2010 movie, I wonder if they also recycled the costume.

Multiple celebrity spotting happened before and during the last day of Ninagawa Yukio‘s “Aoi Shushi wa Taiyo no Naka ni Aru” that stars KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya. The said stage play ran from Aug 10th to 30th at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo. Even though the Tokyo run have ended, the cast will also be having performances in Osaka.

During the play’s entire run, fellow Johnny’s showed their support for Kamenashi as well his co-workers in NTV’s “Going!” like Ueda Shinya and staff from TBS’s “KAT – TUN no sekaiichi tame ni naru tabi!”. Several actors and actresses who have been under Ninagawa also attended the stage play like Arashi‘s Matsumoto Jun. Other Johnny’s who watched the play, are : NEWS’s Masuda Takahisa, KAT-TUN‘s Nakamaru Yuichi, Ueda Tatsuya, Junno Taguchi, Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Okamoto Kei, ABC-Z‘s Totsuka Shota, Johnny’s WEST‘s Kiriyama Akito, and Johnny’s Jrs. Just a quick heads-up to what I missed during these past few days. Involved parties, are: Chinen Yuri, Yamada Ryosuke, Ikuta Toma, Yamashita Tomohisa, and Yasuda Shota.

• “Chokousoku! Sankin Kotai” aka Cho-sankin will be getting a sequel and is scheduled to be shown next year. Filming have started and is expected to finish by October. The movie stars Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Chinen Yuri, the eternal baby-face, who plays a kyudo master (archer) in this period comedy movie.

• “Grasshopper” movie starring Ikuta Toma and Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke have updated their website featuring a new poster and more of the movie’s badass characters. Furthermore, singer YUKI will be singing the movie’s OST.

• Kanjani8′s Yasuda Shota will challenge his first detective role in the movie “Scanner: kioku no kakera o yomu otoko“. Yasuda plays the role Sasabe Satoru, an elite detective of MPD, who holds the key in the story. Joining him is Nomura Mansai who was last seen as detective Suguro in “Oriento Kyuko Satsujin Jiken”.

• Yamapi will be playing a monk in Fuji TV’s “5→9 ~watashi ni koishita ikemen sugiru obousan~” together with Ishihara Satomi. After playing a teacher and a mentally retarted, Yamapi’s next role will be a monk who falls in love with an English teacher. Will we get to see Ishihara and Yamapi converse in English?

• After Jin Akanishi announced his upcoming fashion line, another “former Johnny” is into the fashion world with Tanaka Koki or just KOKI being the image model of VANQUISH. Rawwr!

In a nutshell, two Johnny’s will be wearing a bald cap this season starting with Ryo (okay, just semi-bald) in “Samurai Sensei” and Yamapi in his monk role! But wait, judging from the manga’s cover, I doubt that Yamapi has to worry himself about wearing a bald cap. It’s been a long time that Yamapi did a rom-com so I have to see this.

All those past rumors are true after all…FINALLY! ***Updated***

TOKIO‘s Kokubun Taichi announced his marriage to TOKIO’s Family Club (FC) members via mail. The exact contents of the mail isn’t reported but Kokubun is said to have stated that, “this time, I, Kokubun Taichi, will get married”.  Moreover, it was also noted that Kokubun decided to share the news to the fans since he wanted them to be part of this milestone and although he is still immature, he will devote his time to grow more and hopes that the fans will continue to cheer him on. So far,  Tatsuya Yamaguchi is the only married member of TOKIO, he got married last 2008.

Rumors that Kokubun will get married started last year, although none of it was confirmed or denied by the agency. As for Kokubun’s wife, it was reported that she was a TBS employee whom he was dating for 7 years. A press conference was scheduled to make an official announcement but due to heavy rains, it has to be postponed.

Fellow TOKIO members have congratulated Kokubun, as well as SMAP‘s Kusanagi Tsuyoshi, who greeted Kokubun during his radio program. With this marriage news in Johnny’s, I’m pretty sure that all those MaotsuJun shippers are seeing hope.

Anyway, congratulations Kokubun and it was so sweet of you to announce it to the fans.

Aside from Kokubun’s marriage announcement via fan mail, the agency seem to be sending lots of mails lately. Well, just one particular mail.

It was reported that Johnny’s Fan Club secretariat sent an email about “Butai appreciation manners caution/warning ” to a certain KAT-TUN Fan Club member. The said mail is sent after the agency saw some impropriety during the stage run of “Aoi Shushi wa Taiyo no Naka ni Aru” that stars KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya. The Ninagawa Yukio produced butai is in Osaka until the 13th.

As for the improper manners observed, it was said that the fan was wearing a huge hat even though the fan was seated on front-middle-center row. The said fan also chatted noisily even when the performance started and when one of the actors splashed some saliva during an enthusiastic performance, the said fan made a roar of laughter which spoiled the entire scene.

Most of the audience aren’t just Kamenashi Kazuya’s fans, there are also fans of Ninagawa Yukio’s works. Kana, who played the role of Marie in the butai, also tweeted about the fan’s improper etiquette while inside the theater.

Kamenashi was noted to be saddened by the fan’s attitude and it was reported that the warning mail was sent per his instructions. During KAT-TUN’s fan meeting at Osaka last year, Kamenashi was reported to have knelt just to make a fan keep quiet.

It’s a good thing that Kame kept his cool because if I were in his position, I’ll ask the fan to leave because he’s bothering the audience and entire production as well. Stage plays are performed live and they don’t need a distraction that might make them forget their lines.

More and more Johnny’s are going overseas and it’s thanks to their movies.

Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Nakajima Yuto will be attending the 20th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea for his upcoming movie “Pink and Gray“. The movie will be exhibited on “A Window on Asian Cinema” where Nakajima, Yukisada Isao (movie’s director), and co-star Suda Masaki will be attending the red carpet event.

“Pink and Gray” is the debut novel of NEWS‘s Shigeaki Kato about the sad story of success and setbacks in the entertainment industry. Some scenes that were not present in the novel will be added in the movie. For the rest of the movie’s, synopsis, check-out BIFF website.

In a related news, ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION will be singing the theme song for the movie. Masafumi Goto, lyricist and vocalist of the band, said that he wrote the song as if seeing the movie and even read the original work.

The 20th Busan International Film Festival will happen on Oct 1st to 20th, “Pink and Gray” will be shown in the next two days. Also, the movie will have a theatrical release in Japan on January 2016.

Chinen can now use those biceps and his athleticism into good use!

Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Chinen Yuri will star alongside Uchimura Teruyoshi for the movie “Kinmedaru otoko” (Gold medal man). This is Chinen’s first leading role.

Last 2011, Uchimura acted in the stage play “The birth of Tokyo Olympic Man”, which he also wrote. This time, aside from writing the directing the movie, Uchimura and Chinen will be playing the same role as the Gold Man, Akita Izumi, who is obsessed in getting the first prize. Chinen will play as the adolescent Akita in the movie.

Uchimura and Chinen are like “father and child” since they’ve worked together in NTV’s “School Kakumei” and Chinen said that he’s excited to learn the art of comedy for this movie. Chinen doing comedy? I gotta see that!

“Kinmedaru otoko” (Gold medal man) will hit the theaters on 2016.

Isn’t it cute when Kamiki would play along side Johnny’s?

It was announced that Kamiki Ryunosuke will be starring in “Samurai Sensei” that also stars Kanjani8‘s Nishikido Ryo. As earlier reported, Nishikido will be playing a samurai named Takechi Hanpeita, who time-slip 150 years to present day Japan, and became a cram school teacher.

Joining Nishikido is Kamiki Ryunosuke, who will be playing Sakamoto Ryoma, a key figure in Japanese history who time-slipped ahead of Takechi and has been well adjusted to present times by working as a journalist in Tokyo. In the drama, Takechi and Sakamoto are friends, both of them are samurais from Tosa, and they both adhere to “Sonno-joi” movement.

This is the first time that Nishikido and Kamiki will be working together. Kamiki hopes that he and Nishikido would treat each other like brothers while Nishikido is eager to work with a well-honed actor like Kamiki. Kamiki also commented that he’s taking notes from his agency senpai, Fukuyama Masaharu, on how to play the role of Sakamoto since the latter have also played the same role for “Ryomaden”.

I got really interested with Kamiki’s role since I’ve watched JIN and Sakamoto Ryoma is such a central character more than Minakata Jin. So  I like to see how Kamiki will portray Sakamoto since in JIN, Sakamoto is such a jolly fellow. Also, in Samurai Sensei, I wonder what they will do with Sakamoto’s assassination since not only they are both in present time, they are also aware that Sakamoto is going to be assassinated.

Rounding-up the cast are : Higa Manami, Fujii Ryusei (Johnny’s WEST), Kuroshima Yuina, Ishida Nicole, Kajihara Zen, Morimoto Leo.

“Samurai Sensei” will air every Friday’s of October starting at 11:15 PM.
